Contract 2.0 developed by YEBANE ESPA OLA, S.A. has been a project financed by the CDTI. It has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the multiregional operational programme for smart growth. In this research and development project, which began in June 2015 and ended in November 2016, a new type of opaque and blackout curtains have been developed through a multilayer lamination process using different fabrics, opaque plastic films and hot melt adhesive as a bonding element. The opacity index obtained has been high, with a light final product and with the possibility of introducing a diversity of designs and reducing production costs. In addition, the resulting fabric has met the requirements of the target market, the hotel industry, obtaining resistance, easy maintenance and fire resistance.
